​(SKC) will be hosting its 4th Annual “Fur & Fun Day in the Park” on Saturday, October 17, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., in Oakdale Park, Shelter 1. Last year we had an absolute fantastic time hosting this event for our community, and we want to make sure this year is even better! 

Why we hold this event: For the love of dogs of course! By offering such an event we raise the awareness of the Salina Kennel Club and all the training opportunities it has to offer. Training courses help pet parents by equipping them with knowledge and the tools needed to make sure their pet is a well-trained member of the family and community. We will have some of the fun classes we offer on demonstration, so everyone can see firsthand the strong bond that is created between owner and dog when training! 

Why support the event and us: Our pay to play activities and raffles enable us to continue offering classes to the public at affordable prices, and helps us update and add to the equipment needed for training. 
This year a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Salina Police, Fire, and Sheriff departments’ canine units. Each department will also participate in the event by doing a demonstration with their canine companions for all observers to enjoy!
